भाजप सहकार आघाडीच्या मुंबई प्रदेश उपाध्यक्षपदी मोहन सावंत यांची नियुक्ती!
Mohan Sawant Appointed as Vice President of BJP Cooperative Front, Mumbai Region
Mumbai:- Senior social worker and an experienced leader in the cooperative sector and public administration, Mohan Sawant, has been appointed as the Vice President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Cooperative Front, Mumbai Region. The appointment was announced by Mumbai President Sunil Bambulkar during a meeting of the BJP Cooperative Front held at Dadar, Mumbai, today.
The BJP Cooperative Front has been actively working to strengthen the cooperative movement across Maharashtra under the leadership of MLA Pravin Darekar, Chairman of the Mumbai District Central Cooperative Bank. In Mumbai, the organization continues to expand its activities under the guidance of Mumbai President Sunil Bambulkar. During today’s meeting at Dadar, Mohan Sawant’s appointment as the Mumbai Region Vice President was officially announced in the presence of district presidents and office-bearers of the BJP Cooperative Front from across the city.
On the occasion, Sudhakar Kadam, General Secretary of the BJP Cooperative Front, Mumbai, introduced Mohan Sawant to the gathering. Addressing the meeting, Sawant said:
“I will work with dedication and efficiency in the cooperative sector under the leadership of BJP Cooperative Front State Convenor and Chairman of the Mumbai District Central Cooperative Bank, MLA Pravin Darekar, and under the guidance of Mumbai President Sunil Bambulkar and Mumbai Mahamantri Sudhakar Kadam. I am grateful to the party leadership for giving me this opportunity. I shall strive to justify the confidence they have reposed in me through my work.”
Mohan Sawant is a retired officer of the Government of Maharashtra with extensive administrative experience gained while serving in the Health Department, State Election Commission, Mantralaya, Maharashtra State Commission for Women, and MHADA in various capacities.
Apart from his government service, he has been actively associated with several cooperative and social service organizations. He currently serves as the President of the Star Vrutta Charitable Trust and as the General Secretary of the Rehabilitation and Research Centre for Women, a renowned charitable organization dedicated to women’s rehabilitation and research. He also serves as the Associate Editor of the Marathi fortnightly newspaper Star Vrutta.
An accomplished sportsman, Mohan Sawant is an excellent Kabaddi player and a Black Belt Karate Champion. He enjoys a wide network of professional and social contacts across Maharashtra.
Following his appointment as the Vice President of the BJP Cooperative Front, Mumbai Region, congratulatory messages have been pouring in from various sections of society.

भारतीय जनता पक्षाची सहकार आघाडी मुंबई जिल्हा मध्यवर्ती सहकारी बँकेचे अध्यक्ष आमदार प्रवीण दरेकर यांच्या नेतृत्वाखाली महाराष्ट्रात सहकार क्षेत्रात कार्यरत आहे. मुंबईतही सहकार आघाडीचे कार्य अधिक व्यापक आणि सक्षम करण्यासाठी मुंबईचे अध्यक्ष सुनिल बांबुळकर नेहमीच अग्रस्थानी असतात. आज दादर येथे भारतीय जनता पक्षाची सहकार आघाडीची बैठक आयोजित करण्यात आली होती. त्यावेळी मुंबई प्रदेश उपाध्यक्षपदी मोहन सावंत यांची निवड करण्यात आली. त्यावेळी भाजपा सहकार आघाडीचे उपाध्यक्ष संतोष दरेकर, रवींद्र जयस्वाल, मुंबई सचिव श्रीमती. शिल्पाताई गुरव, जिल्हा अध्यक्ष अमोल खरात, रतीश साटम, सचिन हनवते, आनंद देऊळकर व समस्त सहकार आघाडीचे पदाधिकारी – कार्यकर्ते मोठ्या संख्येने उपस्थित होते.
भारतीय जनता पक्ष सहकार आघाडी मुंबईचे महामंत्री सुधाकर कदम यांनी मोहन सावंत यांचा परिचय करून दिला. मोहन सावंत यांनीही आपले मनोगत व्यक्त केले. त्यावेळी ते म्हणाले की, “भारतीय जनता पक्ष सहकार आघाडीचे प्रदेश संयोजक, मुंबई जिल्हा मध्यवर्ती सहकारी बँकेचे अध्यक्ष आमदार प्रवीण दरेकर यांच्या नेतृत्वाखाली आणि मुंबईचे अध्यक्ष सुनिल बांबुळकर व मुंबईचे महामंत्री सुधाकर कदम यांच्या मार्गदर्शनाखाली मी सहकार क्षेत्रात कार्यक्षमतेने कार्य करणार आहे. मला सहकार क्षेत्रात कार्य करण्याची संधी दिली त्याबद्दल मी वरिष्ठांचा आभारी आहे. त्यांनी माझ्यावर दाखविलेला विश्वास कार्यातून सार्थकी लावीन!”
श्री. मोहन सावंत हे महाराष्ट्र शासनाचे सेवानिवृत्त कर्मचारी असून त्यांना आरोग्य विभाग, राज्य निवडणूक आयोग, मंत्रालय, राज्य महिला आयोग, म्हाडा येथे विविध शासकीय पदांवर काम केल्याचा दीर्घ अनुभव आहे. तसेच अनेक सहकारी संस्था व सेवाभावी सामाजिक संस्थांवर ते कार्य करीत आहेत. ते स्टार वृत्त चॅरिटेबल ट्रस्टचे अध्यक्ष, रेहॅबिलिटेशन अँड रिसर्च सेन्टर फॉर विमेन अर्थात महिलांसाठी पुनर्वसन आणि संशोधन केंद्र ह्या विख्यात न्यासावर सरचिटणीस ह्या पदांवर कार्यरत आहेत. तसेच पाक्षिक `स्टार वृत्त’ ह्या वृत्तपत्रात सहसंपादक म्हणूनही ते काम पाहतात. मोहन सावंत उत्कृष्ट कबड्डी खेळाडू आणि आणि ब्लॅक बेल्ट कराटे चॅम्पियन आहेत. त्यांचा संपूर्ण महाराष्ट्रात दांडगा संपर्क आहे.
मोहन सावंत यांची भाजपच्या सहकार आघाडीत मुंबई प्रदेश उपाध्यक्षपदी निवड झाल्याने त्यांचे सर्व स्तरावरून अभिनंदन होत आहे.
